A very attractive program ends the Philharmonic’s 2009-2010 season: after the success of the first event of the film music genre in February, music and cinema lovers are invited to attend its sequel, namely NIGHT IN HOLLYWOOD 2: FROM CINDERELLA TO THE GLADIATOR (June 4), under the baton of Mihaela Cesa-Goje. Other concerts articulated around the Gradus ad Parnassum motto bring into attention the most talented and competition-winner pupils of “Sigismund Toduta” Music High School and “Gh. Dima” Academy of Music. They all perform next to the professional musicians of the Symphonic Orchestra. Conductors József Horváth, Dumitru Goia and Nicolae Moldoveanu (Switzerland), as well as prestigious soloists like cellist Marin Cazacu and pianist Naoko Anzai (Japan) feature as distinguished guests. A month of June with Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovitch, as well as Dvořák, Piazzola and A.L. Webber!
